Seven provinces were placed on alert for flooding from the Chao Phraya River and its tributary the Sakae Krang on Tuesday.

The floodwaters along the banks of rivers in the Northeastern province of Kalasin receded by seven to 10 centimetres on Wednesday, the second day of reduction by half of water released from Lampao Dam, the provincial governor said.
